This is a variant of the “follow your pass”. In this version, we have two groups with the ball going back and forth across a common grid. Rather than following the pass, players will join an adjacent group diagonally. The coaching point is to be ready to receive the ball immediately, the run should be looping with the player getting early vision on the next pass.
Players form short lines (no more than 3 deep, preferably 2) across from each other. With two balls (one with each facing group), players pass the ball across the grid, then move to their right (left) to the next line.
Focus on quality of first touch, finding target, movement of opposing ball. Call for the ball, show angles.
