EXPLANATION

Game starts 3v1 in middle zone (2), 1 defender must stay in zone 2 when game proceeds into attacking zone 3
Meanwhile one player from third team (Blue) moves into zone 2
If attacking team scores, direction is reversed – if defending wins ball, they attack and switch with team that lost ball

PROGRESSION

Have GK restart with ball supply rather than coach
Limit pass count before goal must be scored

COACHING POINTS

Attacking team – look to possess and move together into attacking third – try to isolate one of the defenders 2v1 – if 2nd defender joins, then play to available teammate
Defenders – make play predictable, show patience, quickly counter if possession is gained
