EXPLANATION

Coach with ball supply on sideline, game starts as normal

On signal from coach, a new ball is played in from outside, any ball in play is sent outside game and play continues

PROGRESSION

Start – new ball only on ball out of play

Advance – new ball at any time, players must adjust to new ball

Progressions – limit touch count, require shot within time limit

COACHING POINTS

Team in possesssion on new ball – look to quickly take advantage of opponent confusion, try to penetrate and find shooting opportunity

Team out of possession – communication, 1st defender to immediately pressure, organize behind ball
