The activities in this session are designed to develop the interior movements of a midfield triangle. The initial 2v2+2+2 isolates two of the midfielders - encourage scanning and movements of the "3rd man" in a combination from outside to inside. This player should be looking at angles of support when the ball is played in and movement away from defenders (to be available) when the ball is played outside. The 6v3/7v5 and Component 1 activities are intended to be more game-like - consider using players in roles that they would take on the weekend.
