EXPLANATION

Side-by-side 1v1s – game starts with pass to attacker who must carry through one of the two gates before scoring – can score in either goal
If defender wins ball, then can score in either goal without going through a gate

PROGRESSION

Player who scores goal receives a pass and MUST score in the other goal

COACHING POINTS

Attacker – take 1st touch with intent, scan to determine pressure from defender, feint/accelerate to get through gate then rescan to determine which goal to attack – look for quick turn/change-of-direction
Defender – engage as quickly as possible, prevent attacker from getting to gate, don’t overcommit
