Notes

This session a variety of activities with opportunities for the players to solve problems in transition. The 4v3+1 is a simple positional play - when the outside team lose the ball, the game becomes 3v2 in the middle with one of the outside players joining their teammate to defend. The 3v3+2 game is a high tempo activity - players should be instructed to score quickly, then press their opponents early. The 4v4 side-by-side game involves players switching games on cues - initially with the coach's instruction but ideally based on events in the game (consecutive passes, scoring).
