Notes

This session includes small-sided games and rondo activities that should encourage the use of scanning (perception) to determine choices and execute actions. In the 2v2+2+2, note the actions of the 2nd attacking player and the two defenders in the grid - are they ball watching or are they moving in response to passes into the grid. Likewise in the 4v4+2, try to watch the head positions and eye movements of the off-ball players. The 4v4 T-shape game is intended to create choices for the attacking team - go at one goal, if blocked change direction. Encourage off-ball communication in the attacking role.
